Intermodal Shipbrokers Co. established in Piraeus in 1984 with the vision to play a significant part in the transformation of Hellenic shipbroking services, started off by offering a package of services; sale and purchase, newbuilding contracting, demolition broking, consultancy, research, initially including competitive chartering, which however was later dropped in view of the need for specialization in order to better serve the demanding clientele that Intermodal was targeting for.
Founded by Captain Kyriakos G. Dermatis, and with a particular focus and expertise on the tanker sector, Intermodal has managed to curtail adverse market conditions and remain at the forefront of developments throughout its successful journey.
Intermodal was named with one simple concept in mind: Intermodalism, referring to a "door to door" service centered around each individual client in essence, the name represents our determination to provide a complete service from initial conception and consultation up to materialization.
Intermodal, accepting the recognition of the shipping society as a reliable business partner, has managed to blend its integrity, commercial competence, attention to detail and entrepreneurial creativity to the benefit of its clients who have entrusted us with their investments.
